The JVP has formally invited General Sarath Fonseka to be their common candidate at the Presidential elections. JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayaka said that talks with the General in this regard was successful.
He also said that the JVP will not have talks with the UNP on the election but added that any party can lend support to the common candidate selected by the JVP.
